Endorsement for Leader - by Gareth Seward

I am sincerely proud to endorse and support Stephen McNamara in his campaign for leadership of the Scottish Libertarian Party.

In these troubling times that are nothing short of tyrannical, when freedom and liberty are severely impeded upon, disregarded and abused for political gains by career politicians, now more than ever Scotland needs a strong, uncompromising and principled voice. A voice not only vocally championing liberty, but one willing to push and be relentlessly pro-active in pursuit of it. Stephen is that man. A man deeply principled in libertarian ideals - the diminishing of state interference and control, and the freedom and self responsibility of the individual.

I know from speaking to him that he is extremely passionate, highly motivated and driven towards such causes. He is genuinely motivated by the greater cause of liberty than he is for his own political gains, unlike so many political figures that have their snouts in the trough. I remember well when Stephen stood in the East Kilbride by-election in the summer of 2019, when he pledged to donate his councillor's salary to charitable causes. That is a measure of the man, and one that shows his true colours.

Stephen is a man of passion. A man of dignity. A man of principle. This is exactly what the Scottish Libertarian Party needs, and this is exactly what Scotland needs. You too can pledge your support for Stephen here.
